Beekeeping Tours

Join our beekeeper for a fun and educational exploration about bees, beekeeping, and honey. During this open beehive demonstration, you will explore an actual hive and learn where the queen resides, how honey is made, and what makes bees so special and interesting, all from behind a safe, screened area.

Tour duration is about 1 hour and includes a video of our beekeeping operation, an open beehive demonstration and a free sampling of our raw, organic honeys and specialty honey products.

Afterward, visit our museum to view tools, pictures, and displays to learn about the history of beekeeping and honey production.

TOUR SCHEDULE (Beginning Oct 23, 2020): Mon-Fri 10 am, and 1 pm.

SPECIAL HILTON GUEST PRICING: Adults 19 and over $10; with Hawai‘i ID $7.50; Children (under 13) - $4.

If you're visiting without a reservation, simply show your Hilton guest room card.

Please note, our tours are open to people of all ages and is stroller and wheelchair accessible. Both the indoor and outdoor portion of the tour is under cover. Minimal walking is required.

TO GET HERE, take Napoopoo Road off Highway 11, immediately south of mile marker 111. Keep bearing right on Napoopoo Road, following signs to Kealakekua Bay. Turn right at Big Island Bees sign immediately past Hawaiian Host Macadamia Factory and Kealakekua Estates (Meli Road).
