What is Baker-Grade honey?
Sometimes the honey extracted from hive doesn't meet the standard for table use because of its texture or appearance.
It still has the same great flavor and aroma, but is more suitable for cooking or baking than spreading.
Our baker-grade Lehua honey differs from our
full-priced honey in two ways:
- The texture isn't as smooth because the honey's crystals didn't form uniformly.
- Its color is not consistently white but instead blotchy in appearance.
It is raw and organic - we do not heat our Baker's Grade honey like other producers do.
It is an excellent bargain for customers who use honey primarily to cook, bake, or mix in hot beverages, where texture and appearance are less important.
