We are excited to announce a new honey product! It's been over a year in the works, but the Lehua with Vanilla Bean honey is here. You can sample it at our farm in Captain Cook or purchase it on our website.
Some of my favorite ways to use this honey is on buttered toast, in oatmeal or in Earl Grey tea (extra yum for that one :). Below are a few of my favorite oatmeal recipes. What I love most about oatmeal is how you can make it as fruity, decadent or protein-filled as you like. To add protein, I often use peanut or almond butter, yogurt, nuts and/or chia seeds to it. For a real protein punch, add a raw egg to the oats as I explain in the Strawberry & Egg Oats. If you're craving something more decadent, add cacao powder and a little extra honey for brownie batter, style oatmeal.
Don't forget, if you'd like your honey to stay raw, add it AFTER you've taken the oatmeal off of the stove!
