Jillian will be your host when you arrive. With a rich and varied background in farming, agricultural science (BS in Agricultural Science and Technology), and cooking, she is passionate about the entire food system, from seed to table.
Our Bee Docent, Laryssa, was enthralled with bees at a young age in her native Philadelphia where she had a rooftop apiary. Her enthusiasm for these marvelous creatures has only increased while working with them on the Big Island.
Our Assistant Bee Docent, Joe, has a BS in Zoology, and has extensive knowledge about entomology and arthropods of the Big Island.
Our Assistant Bee Docent, Anissa, is an avid student of agriculture and Hawaiian culture. Her passion to cook with foods from her garden inspired her to keep bees. During her tours, Anissa enjoys incorporating facts about Hawaiian culture.

To get here, take Napoopoo Road off Highway 11, immediately south of mile marker 111. Continue on Napoopoo Road for approximately 4.5 miles. Turn right at the stop sign to continue on Napoopoo Road. You will pass the Hawaiian Host Macadamia Factory and Kealakekua Estates. Turn right at the Big Island Bees sign right after the Macadamia factory (Meli Road).
